ALEXANDRIA
Alexandria is Constantine's younger sister. They only met once, but did seem to get along moderately well, though Alex was struggling to appear mature to her impressively adultlike sister. Reinette found Alex competent enough for a fourteen year old, but wasn't at all interested in taking her seriously. Alexandria thinks of her mysterious sister as a role model and inspiration, seeing as everything she'd ever heard about Constantine was what she was constantly told to be- smart, grownup, and authoritative. Such was her admiration that she made a present for her withdrawn sister, and anticipated their eventual meeting every day until she came across the princess in the village graveyard. She waited quite a while to meet Constantine again after their encounter, but they never ran across each other again.
CASPIAN
Caspian and Reinette grew to be rather close friends during the four years they spent engaged. Neither had much of an attraction toward the other, though they did kiss once (to Constantine's fury, they were ordered to for a photo that would be on the wedding invitation). Reinette found it a relief how little Caspian cared about judging her and making sure she was a perfect princess, and likewise Caspian enjoyed that Reinette didn't really care about him fulfilling all the expectations that had been flung upon him. He worked hard to keep Reinette happy (no use in being married to someone who hated you, he figured). The ribbons that Constantine wears around her hind legs and waist are a birthday present from Caspian, who was glad to see she had taken up a hobby as creative as ribbon dancing and wanted to contribute. After Constantine's patience wore thin and she kicked Caspian out, they never spoke again.
PARENTS
Constantine was always quite obedient, and played by the rules, despite her assertive attitude. Even when she was forced into a marriage to a total stranger, she consented. They were strict about what was acceptable for a princess and what wasn't, and tried their best to make Reinette take pride in her appearance as well as in the royal crown she wore around her neck. The only thing that she would ever get angry at her parents about would be not taking her seriously and treating her like an adult, which was a frequent occurence. By the time Reinette was in her late teens, the family had come to an unspoken agreement: let Constantine make the decisions that concerned her, and leave the rest to the adults who supposedly know what they were doing.
THE OUTSIDE WORLD
Reinette rarely made contact with the outside world, and she preferred it that way. Interacting only with the nobles' children and other people who frequently visited the castle was a good way to keep her obedient and docile. From birth to age 20, Constantine probably left the castle grounds only a handful of times. She had all she needed, and felt no desire for any more.
